WELCOME FELLOW MUSIC (AND MAYBE ART) LOVERS!

Damyan here writing as an artist and music lover...... from my CELEBRITY PORTRAITS (take a look here at the GALLERY) of many music stars you hopefully will be able to appreciate not only my skills and interests as an ARTIST but also my knowledge and appreciation of music allowing me to bring out the inner character of each music star I create! But more of that later...... as music lovers I want to share a few of my thoughts on the scene below........

As we get older, as the time and vogue changes, our social circles and our tastes in music stabilize. Not that there's anything wrong with the music you grew up on, but after you've recycled it for 10 years, it starts to sound stale - and so do you.

Today the Music industry develops with the speed of light and this is a great time to discover new music. Hundreds of new names appear in the news, National and International charts, many new labels produce new releases, various styles of music get blended in brand new genres and combinations. The mass-media brings the Atrists closer to the fans, and artists have never had such a direct dialogue. That might kill the mystique of fame to a certain extent, but it means that the average fan can be as dialed in to the lastest trends as poeple who make their living in the music industry. All you have to do is look, listen and absorb......

Music has always been about connecting with other people. Sure it fills our hearts, lifts our spirits, and all that good stuff, but it also gives us a rack to hang our hats on. We identify ourselves in terms of the music we like, and artists we admire. Music is one of the topics new acpuaintances talk most about and some reliable predictions about other people can be made based on musical taste alone. We know this from experience, and research bears it out as well.

There's been an interesting evolution on the relationship between the industry and fans. Music fans and musicians belong to each other. The role and the obligation of the intermediary is to empower that relationship to happen more easily and more effectively. Labels want to push their own brand, but the fans don't care about that. Kids want to feel they're being brought closer to the music and the musicians that they admire.

We are all interested in current new music events, award ceremonies, contests and Promotional Actions, Concerts and Music Release! All these events bring a lot of joy and pleasure, liesure and entertainment to the music fans, or even music lovers. Fan communities fire up each other with sparks of interest and love for the music stars.
