Step One - The first step to understanding affiliate marketing is to get some solid training. If you’re serious about this, it’s going to cost you a dollar a day. Now you have been linked to well over 30,000 products you can promote as an affiliate. You can use the training from the educational sites, and the ebooks to earn a decent living promoting any number of products as an affiliate marketer.

As the authors of the ebooks point out, you probably won’t make huge money promoting just one product. You need to decide on one or several niches, and then promote a group of products to them.

One final thought. Most marketers make the mistake of choosing a product they like, and then try to market it. If you just want to “monetize” your hobby, that’s fine, but if you’re in this to make serious money, bad choice! First, you need to find a market. Once you know there is a horde of hungry buyers, then you decide on products to market to them. To put that another way, you need to research what sells well, or find a market that has high demand for products they can’t easily find, and then market them.
